An MRI compatible ventilator has made an immediate impact in its first year at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital’s (SCUH) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The medical device bought by Wishlist is a lifesaving and lifechanging addition for some of the region’s most vulnerable patients. SCUH Director of Neonatology Dr Lizelle Weber said the MRI compatible ventilator allows more critically ill newborn babies to be treated close to home.

Beauty and the beast is no fairy tale
At this year's Wishlist Spring Carnival, one of the three pieces of medical equipment we are fundraising for, is specialised nerve hyperexcitability testing equipment. This equipment would allow us to expand our research and give local patients access to advanced testing without needing to travel to Sydney. It will help improve diagnosis and treatment of nerve and muscle disorders.
