Among the first health staff to join Payroll Giving, Kate Bennett signed up because she’s seen Wishlist’s impact in bringing even better health care close to home.
Kate is the Clinical Improvement and Implementation Project Lead and works at SCUH.
During her 12 years working for Sunshine Coast Health, she has successfully secured grants from Wishlist to fund equipment which has improved women’s health living on the Sunshine Coast.
“Wishlist has funded the Sentimag and the Trident system, so that’s a piece of equipment to improve breast cancer surgery and move these surgeries to Nambour General Hospital,” Kate said.
“It’s a much better experience for women and it has really transformed breast cancer care on the Sunshine Coast for women.”
Kate said if everyone gave a little every fortnight, it would make a huge difference.
