Being in hospital is hard enough for patients and their families, and it’s even more difficult during the festive season.
Wishlist has launched its inaugural Giving Tree, so together we can help improve experiences for patients on the Sunshine Coast this Christmas.
The tree is located on level one near the Wishlist piano at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and shares the spirit of giving.
With seven unique designs, you can grab a decoration, scan the QR code and donate to Wishlist, and make a big difference to patients staying in hospital this Christmas.
The designs include a wand for the Wishlist funded Calm Fairy, our daisy paw print logo for the Wishlist Therapy Dog program, and a clown face for the Wishlist funded Clown Doctors.
You can take the decorations home to hang on your Christmas tree and encourage your friends and family to also donate.
Wishlist administration officer and Mrs Claus, Kerri Cavanagh said the Giving Tree will help patients during the festive season and beyond.
“The Wishlist Giving Tree will help us continue to fund what matters most, all year round,” she said.
“A gift will make a huge difference to a patient for one day, but monetary donations will last well into the new year, and help fund research, health services and affordable accommodation.”
If you can’t make it to the Wishlist Giving Tree at SCUH, you can donate on our website.
