Sunshine Coast World AIDS Day Remembrance Luncheon
The Sunshine Coast World AIDS Day Remembrance Luncheon is a poignant event held annually on December 1st. Noosa Charity Dinner
The Noosa Charity Dinner, organised by The Board Meeting, is an annual fundraising event that brings together the surfing community for a noble cause. The 2023 event featured special guests Belinda Baggs, a renowned longboarder, and Lauren Hill, a surfer, filmmaker, and Patagonia Surf Ambassador. The 2023 dinner was a fantastic opportunity to hear from these inspiring women as they were informally interviewed by John Charlton, sharing stories from their careers and surfing lives. This event focuses on raising funds for local kids with disabilities and mental health problems, with a charity auction that includes surfboards, memorabilia, and art.
The Board Meeting is a staple of the Noosa community, which shared the Community Group or Organisation award with Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled in 2023.
They also won the Organisation of the Year Award for 2022 at the Sunshine Coast Community Awards.

SCNA Unity Day 2023
SCNA Unity Day 2023, presented by Sunshine Coast Narcotics Anonymous, is a significant event themed "More Will Be Revealed." TBIC Picnic in the Park Caloundra
The TBIC Picnic in the Park in Caloundra is a delightful, free event by The Brain Injury Community Inc. This event is a fantastic opportunity for brain injury survivors, their families, friends, and carers to enjoy a day full of laughter, games, and delicious food. Set in the beautiful Canavan Gracie Recreational Park, the picnic offers a range of amusing and nostalgic games suitable for all abilities, along with lunch and refreshments for all attendees.

Buderim Christmas Fair
The Buderim Christmas Fair, a much-anticipated event in the Sunshine Coast community, is set to bring festive cheer and a unique shopping experience. Scheduled for Friday, November 24, 2023, this fair is a perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to indulge in the holiday spirit. The event will feature the Buderim Library selling pre-loved books, perfect for holiday reading, and the Buderim Lions hosting market stalls at the Memorial Hall and grounds, offering a variety of goods.

Lifeflight Sunshine Coast Gala
The Lifeflight Sunshine Coast Gala is an annual event that celebrates the remarkable efforts of the local RACQ LifeFlight Rescue service. This prestigious event, last held Saturday, April 1, 2023, is a night dedicated to acknowledging the lifesaving work performed by these local heroes. The 2021-22 financial year saw the LifeFlight team assist 489 people on the Sunshine Coast, providing services valued at approximately $12.25 million at no cost to patients. The 2023 gala was a resounding success, raising over $250,000 for the helicopter rescue service.

The last gala occurred on April 1, 2023. The event began at 6 PM and continued late into the evening.

SunnyKids Mayoral Ball
The SunnyKids Mayoral Ball, a prestigious event on the Sunshine Coast, was last held on October 28, 2023. Coastrek Sunshine Coast
Coastrek Sunshine Coast is Australia’s iconic hiking challenge, celebrated for its stunning coastal trails and commitment to fitness and fundraising. The event last occurred on July 21, 2023. It invites thousands of participants to hike distances of 60km, 45km, 30km, or 20km, starting from various points like Currimundi, Alexandra Headland Beach, Mudjimba, or Coolum and finishing in Noosa. This event is a physical challenge and a fundraising endeavour, proudly supporting the Heart Foundation. The 2023 event raised almost $800,000 for healthy hearts.
The trek spans various starting points along the Sunshine Coast, with the finish line at Noosa Woods.
The event took place on Friday, July 21, 2023, with start times varying based on the chosen distance. The 60km trek started at 6 AM, the 45km at 7 AM, the 30km at 9.30 AM, and the 20km at 3 PM.
Participants can form teams of four and pledge to raise $2,000 for the Heart Foundation. The event includes a comprehensive training program, fundraising support, and a super-supported adventure with checkpoints, water, first aid, and other services. STEPS Grand Winter Ball
The STEPS Grand Winter Ball is a prestigious black-tie event held annually during the winter season on the Sunshine Coast. The Wishlist Spring Carnival, now in its 14th year, is a celebrated Sunshine Coast event. The 2023 carnival occurred Friday, September 8, 2023. This special afternoon raises vital funds for lifesaving medical equipment, affordable hospital accommodation near the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, medical research, and invaluable therapy services. The event has raised almost $2 million over the years. Attendees can look forward to an afternoon of fun, fashion, and fundraising, including a gala auction with over 80 items and the exciting Wishlist Spring Carnival Cup horse race.
