The rumble of Harley Davidson motorbikes will mark the return of one of the Sunshine Coast’s most epic charity rides with tickets released this week – now in its 16th year.
The Sunshine Coast Harley Owners Group (HOGS) have teamed up with local radio station 92.7 MIX FM to raise vital funds on Sunday, June 4 to support the growing health needs of patients and families on the Sunshine Coast – Wishlist is the grateful chosen local charity.
92.7 MIX FM’s Give Me 5 is a month-long festival of fundraising which raises money for family health services on the Sunshine Coast, made possible by a host of volunteers, community organisations, and local businesses, who rally together for families in need.
92.7 MIX FM’s Give Me 5 Event Coordinator Lisa Bathersby said the HOG Ride has solidified itself as the most eagerly awaited date on the Give Me 5 calendar.
“No matter who you are, we all know someone close to our hearts who has endured the stress of having a sick child in hospital, and The HOG Ride brings the community together, knowing they’re making a real impact to real people,” Ms Bathersby said.
“The day is one you’ll never forget and it’s definitely one of the most memorable Give Me 5 events.
“You’ll be transported in style on the back of a Harley Davidson travelling through the picturesque Sunshine Coast hinterland, so bring your long pants, long sleeves, enclosed shoes and heart.”
The event kicks off bright and early from 7am at Sunshine Coast Harley-Davidson – indulge in a delicious bacon and egg roll with the legends of the Sunshine Coast Harley Owners Group upon arrival, and at 8.30am riders will motor off in style towards the hinterland.
Riders can look forward to a morning tea and hearty lunch at The Glasshouse Tavern and The Palmwoods Hotel – where a number of prizes will be up for grabs thanks to generous local businesses.
