Thanks to our generous community and funds raised by Nambour and Gympie Wishlist Coffee Houses, Wishlist has been able to fund a VestiCam device for the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The VestiCam device is a set of goggles with a camera and it helps to look at the eyes of people who present to either the Emergency Department or in clinics with dizziness or vertigo. It helps health staff to look at the function of the inner ear and also the brain.
With this device, health staff are looking for very small intricate eye movements to help figure out what is going on and to further understand and help the patient.
