For the past 14 years, Peter Boyce of Butler McDermott Lawyers has donated countless hours – worth hundreds of thousands of dollars – as Wishlist’s honorary solicitor.

As Wishlist’s fundraising activities have grown over the years to accommodate the needs of the community, so have the demands placed on the organisation’s pro bono law firm.  Peter and his team constantly and effectively provide Wishlist with pro bono support on all matters of law from property and sponsorship contracts to insurance law.

As well as providing Wishlist with his invaluable legal support over the years, Peter also served as volunteer chairman of the organisation’s Nambour sub-committee from 2002 – 2006, during which time he helped raise invaluable funds for the Sunshine Coast Cancer Centre. Mr Boyce spearheaded a team which organised the Sunshine Coast Cancer Centre Charity Dinner, an annual event in October which brought the likes of Wayne Bennett and Ian Healy to the Nambour RSL, and raised almost $100,000 for the Cancer Centre. 

Mr Boyce’s committee then went on to establish the annual Wishlist Row for Cancer which started in 2006 and has to date raised more than $200,000 for the needs of local cancer patients.
