WORKWEAR RETAILER SIGNS AS CHARITY PARTNER

One of Australia’s largest retailers of workwear, PPE and safety have teamed up with renowned Sunshine Coast charity Wishlist.

Worklocker Sunshine Coast have signed on to become a valuable Corporate Partner of the local hospital foundation which has been operating since 1998 to make the hospital experience better for local families.

Worklocker Sunshine Coast Directors Nick Dempsey and David Moles have been long-time supporters of Wishlist and most-recently their team helped raise funds at Wishlist Giving Day to purchase vital medical equipment for local public hospitals.

“We chose Wishlist because they are local and they share the same values as us. As well as also being a locally-focussed, professional and innovative organisation,” Mr Dempsey said.  

“We have always supported local charities and will continue to do so, but becoming a Corporate Partner with Wishlist was an important step in ensuring as we grow as an organisation, we help support the local community.”

The business, which has stores in Caloundra, Maroochydore and Morayfield, are a family-owned independent retail company that employs more than 30 locals.

Wishlist Fundraising & Partnerships Manager Lisa Wilson said the charity was thrilled to partner with a passionate local business.

“We love how community-minded Worklocker is, and we look forward to working with Nick and the team as we continue to make a very real difference in the lives of patients and families,” Ms Wilson said.

Wishlist is a not-for-profit organisation making the hospital experience better for patients and families through hospital accommodation, the provision of medical equipment, patient support services, research and education.

Wishlist is also behind Australia’s first facility offering affordable patient accommodation, primary healthcare and complementary therapies under one roof – Wishlist Centre. The Centre is expected to open in mid-September opposite the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
