The Humble Gift Co.’s Pawesome Donation

11 Dec 2023

Sunshine Coast nurse Chantelle Fletcher has raised $3200 in just 6 months for Wishlist through her personalised gift business, The Humble Gift Co. enabling Wishlist to fund the services of two therapy dogs for patients.

Chantelle, 25, started The Humble Gift Co. in 2021, donating $2 from every name badge sale to Wishlist to give back to the patients and health service.

“I was in an accident a few years ago that has left me with chronic pain. I couldn’t return to work as a nurse full-time, so I started The Humble Gift Co. as a creative outlet, and it’s just kind of taken off” Chantelle says.

“At Humble, we specialise in all things laser cut from wooden and acrylic materials such as personalised gifts and decor, business and event signage.”

“Nursing is my passion, and having worked here on the Sunshine Coast for the past four years, I see the positive impact Wishlist have on our patients and their families, so giving back to them just made sense.”

Therapy dogs like Stella (pictured) specialise in bringing smiles to patients in hospital. The love, affection and break in routine has been shown to provide positive outcomes on a patient’s mental wellbeing.

Chantelle’s donation will allow us to fund a therapy dog for Nambour’s 4FW ward and SCUH Rehab ward helping patients like Kim Powers who has been in hospital for over 18 months with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.

A big thank you to Humble Gift Co. for their support, without donations from our local community we wouldn’t be able to continue supporting the growing health needs of patients and families across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region.
