Tecoda partners with Wishlist to support patients and families

03 May 2023

Wishlist is pleased to have partnered with Sunshine Coast IT experts Tecoda, in a bid to futureproof its computer systems and bolster fundraising for local patients and families in need.

Tecoda Projects and Operations Manager Julia Davies said after the team completed a walkthrough Wishlist Centre, it hit home a lot harder.

“Some of our staff have faced the perils of debilitating illness and Wishlist means a lot to us. We love what Wishlist do. One day anyone of us may lean on their affordable accommodation or medical equipment they’ve funded,” Mrs Davies said.

“When the Wishlist team approached us for some assistance with reviewing their computer systems, it was a win-win situation for us to give back.”

The multiskilled team at Tecoda have worked tirelessly to ensure the security of the data will protect Wishlist’s future, and saved the Wishlist team months of extra work outside their scope of expertise.

“Our team have helped unify historical systems and turn them into a powerful modern tool that’ll empower Wishlist to have a stronger, secure digital presence and elevate how they communicate with the community and donors,” she said.

“In our line of work, we embrace the value in leading edge technologies and software development, and hope to see positive outcomes for Wishlist’s fundraising events and campaigns – year after year.

“We can’t wait to help Wishlist in the future and be part of the charity’s next 25-year chapter.”

Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said she is so grateful for the time and skills Tecoda have dedicated and in turn saved a lot of unnecessary stress and money.

“It’s community-focussed businesses like Tecoda supporting our work, that allows us to focus on our core mission – making the hospital experience better for patients and families – through raising and directing $1 million a year to the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service,” Ms Rowe said.

Wishlist raises funds to support the growing health needs of patients and families on the Sunshine Coast and Gympie.
