Record numbers to attend Wishlist Spring Carnival

30 Aug 2022

850 Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Noosa and Gympie identities will converge on Sunshine Coast Convention Centre this Friday for the annual Wishlist Spring Carnival.

In yet another sell-out event and in it’s 13th year, Wishlist’s largest fundraising event has raised over $1.76 million which directs funds to medical equipment, service support projects, staff scholarships and research in the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service catchment area.

This year Wishlist will 'level up' once again with almost 100 exceptional auction items donated by the generous Sunshine Coast business community, raffles which shine a spotlight on travel this year, inspiring guest speakers, live music, champagne and gin bar, plus a few other surprises in store including a co-host from Channel 7’s Sunrise program.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to our major sponsors Walter Iezzi Property Group and Pacific Motor Group, and also our event partners including Billy J, Heads of Noosa, Travis Schultz & Partners, Toomey Family Law, Poole Group, Ray White Maroochydore, Channel 7, ARN - Australian Radio Network, Get Kitted Clothing Co, Smith Madden Creative Agency, Danni Morrison Studios and Sound Images, who all dove deep into their pockets to help make the hospital experience better for patients and families experiencing a health crisis.

Funds raised on the day will be directed to Wishlist Centre - Australia's first facility to offer patient accommodation, primary healthcare and complementary therapies under one roof, due to officially open in November opposite the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Wishlist Centre will provide the physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological support for families and patients while they receive ongoing treatment or transition to and from hospital.
