Wishlist Coffee House at Gympie Hospital is extending their hours.
From February 12, Wishlist Coffee House Gympie will open earlier and also open on Saturdays to serve fresh home-style cooking and tasty brewed coffee.
The popular café serves hospital staff, patients and their families, and will increase their opening days due to demand.
Wishlist Coffee House Manager Jacques Martin said opening for an extra day would be trialled for six months.
“We hope our community turns out to support us so we can continue to open six days a week,” Mr Martin said.
“Plus every coffee made or item sold helps our local hospital – all proceeds stay right here in Gympie for the benefit of local hospital patients and families.”
The café is largely run by a group of dedicated volunteers who enjoy learning from Jacques who is a French chef.
“We wouldn’t be able to open our door if not for our passionate volunteers.
“If you have ever thought about volunteering, or can dedicate some time each week, we would love to hear from you.”
Wishlist Coffee House's new opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am – 2.30pm and Saturdays 7am – 2pm from 12 Feb 2024 .
