AJH Disability & Health Services to open at Wishlist Centre

25 May 2023

AJH Disability and Health Services will open their doors at Wishlist Centre – opposite the Sunshine Coast University Hospital – later this month.

The commercial tenancy is an exciting milestone for Sunshine Coast charity Wishlist which opened their Australian-first four-storey wellbeing and affordable accommodation centre in Birtinya in November last year.

“We are thrilled to welcome the staff and clients of AJH Disability and Health Services into our new facility Wishlist Centre,” Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said.

“Wishlist Centre offers affordable patient accommodation, healthcare and complementary therapies under one roof and we feel this tenancy will further boost support services for individuals and families living in our community.

AJH Disability and Health Services provides holistic and inclusive services to NDIS participants including Behaviour support, Support Coordination, Supported Independent Living, Occupational Therapy, Assessments and group programs.

“Wishlist Centre provides opportunities for collaborations and relationships to be developed between community, business and governmental service providers. We look forward to seeing those opportunities grow with organisations such as AJH Disability and Health Services, who make wonderful contributions to our Sunshine Coast community.”

AJH Disability and Health Services Director Amanda Hendren added: “AJH Disability and Health Services is super excited to have been invited to share Wishlist’s new space”.

“We look forward to applying creative approaches to the provision of services that meet the needs of our community in collaboration with Wishlist.”

AJH Disability and Health Services will officially open at Wishlist Centre, 1 Bright Place, Birtinya on May 26.  From 9am on May 26, AJH welcomes community members to attend their open day.
