When and where is the Wishlist K's 4 Cancer?

Sunday 15th October 2023.  We promise you will never lose sight of the water on our course around Lake Kawana, 31 Sportsman Pde Bokarina (across from Sunshine Coast Stadium).

Start times are:

10km race - 7am registration | 8am race start
5km race - 
8:30am registration | 9am race start
2.5km race -
 9am registration | 9:30am race start

More details will be added to the website and sent to you via email as we get closer to the date.

What do I do?

Firstly, click here to register. Set up your fundraising page and share your page with your friends and family.

Do I have to run?

No, you don’t have to run. You can also walk, skip and jump! Dogs are also welcome to in the 5km and 2.5km walking courses.

Where do I pick up my race bib?

We will let you know via email when race bibs are ready to be picked up and from where. Merch orders will also be available to pick up at the same time.

Who can participate?

Everyone, we have 2.5km, 5km and 10km courses to suit all ages and abilities. Our courses are wheelchair-friendly.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, you may bring your dog to the Wishlist K's 4 Cancer by accepting the conditons below: 

  • By bringing your dog to the Wishlist K's 4 Cancer, you are accepting the responsibility of your dog’s behaviour and actions in public.
  • Dogs MUST be near their owner at all times and responsive to their commands.
  • Your dog must be kept under control on a lead held by a capable person.
  • Dogs must not interfere with other people, including children.
  • Your dog must be on a leash at all times and you must carry a doggy bag to dispose of dog poop responsibly.

Do you have K's 4 Cancer official merch?

K's 4 Cancer Merch is available during the registration process or you can buy merch after registering here.

Where can I pick up the merch I've ordered?

Merch is picked up at the same time as your race bib.

Sunshine Coast Stadium ticketing booth, 31 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina.
Wednesday 11th October & Friday 13th October at 7am - 9am and 4pm - 6pm.

Registration

Can I create/join a team?

Yes, just click here to join as an individual, or team.

Can I still join a team after I have registered as an individual?

Yes of course! Have someone share the team link with you or find it by searching our leaderboard page. Once on the team page click the orange Join Us button.

Do all team members have to register for the same distance?

No you can register in any race you like.

How much does it cost to register?

I'm a business and want to pay for my employees registration, how do I do that?

1. Register yourself and create the team.

2. Contact Wishlist via (07) 5202 1777 or email info@wishlist.org.au letting us know the number of people in each race you are paying for (Eg. 3 Adults in 10 km and 5 adults in 5km).

3. We will invoice you to pay for your employees registration and will provide you with a code to give to your employees so they can individually create their own profiles and join your team. The code will make their registration free.

Can I transfer my entry?

Yes, please contact us on 07 5202 1777 or email taylen.stork@health.qld.gov.au.

Are there refunds if I can no longer make it?

Sorry, we don’t offer refunds at this charity event, but if the event is cancelled by Wishlist, you will receive a full refund or option to transfer your entry to the 2024 Wishlist K's 4 Cancer.

Can I register on the day?

Yes, but we encourage you to register now to avoid any disappointment on the day if we reach capacity.

Fundraising

Where do the funds go that I raise?

We are raising funds for patients & families touched by cancer.

How do I fundraise?

After you register, go to the Get Support section of your profile where you will find a unique link to share your fundraising profile with your supporters who can make donations online. We encourage you to share your fundraising link on social media to collect more donations. If you have received offline donations (cash) you can input your donations manually on the My Donations page.

How can supporters donate?

Supporters can visit your fundraising page and make a tax-deductible donation. Donations can be made offline (cash) and then inputted manually to contribute to your fundraising goal.

Are donations tax deductable?

Yes. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

If I can’t make it on the day can I have a refund?

No. As per our Terms & Conditions, we can’t offer a refund if you fail to show up on the day of the event.

Can I make a donation even if I don’t know anyone participating?

Yes, you can donate directly to Wishlist here.

On the Day

What do I wear?

We encourage you to have fun and dress up. However, if you don’t want to dress up, wear anything suitable for running. Don’t forget your hat and sunscreen. We also have shirts, singlets, hats and drink bottles for sale on our merchandise page that you can buy during the registration process or here.
Please note merchandise is pick up only when you pick up your race bib.

Can my kids ride a scooter or bike etc?

No, sorry. Bikes, scooters, rollerskates, rollerblades and skateboards are not permitted.

Can I bring a pram/stroller?

Yes. prams and strollers are permitted.

What happens if it rains?

You will receive an email or text prior to the event if we have to postpone due to weather.

What if the event is cancelled due to Covid19?

Your ticket will be valid for the 2024 Wishlist K's 4 Cancer, but if you prefer a refund please phone us on 07 5202 1777.

Do I have to wear a mask?
