Internal Communications and Engagement Officer

Join one of the Coast's leading charities! We are looking for a great communicator to shape and build internal communications with our 9,600 local health staff. This full-time role is about engaging with our key target audiences to meet Wishlist objectives and bring our vision and strategy to life.


    • Create, maintain and improve internal communications channels to specifically target a key stakeholder group – Sunshine Coast health staff. 
    • Promote Wishlist’s current activities and develop new campaigns or initiatives aimed at improving Wishlist’s engagement with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service staff.
    • Obtain, write, edit and deliver content for internal communications channels including the intranet, email, newsletters and other platforms as necessary.
    • Work collaboratively with the broader Communications team to develop content and ensure effective alignment of messaging, use of channels and coordination of broader Wishlist communication strategies.
    • Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects Wishlist’s strategic vision and goals.


We are looking for someone who is passionate about great communications and is:

    • Experienced in public speaking and stakeholder engagement.
    • Experienced in internal communications, digital communications, public relations marketing, project management, or similar roles.
    • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
    • Experienced in developing and executing integrated, creative and engaging communication plans that target diverse stakeholder groups.
    • A strategic thinker who can work autonomously but also enjoys working in a collaborative environment to achieve common goals.
    • Superb communication and writing skills with high attention to detail.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Mailchimp.
    • Not-for-profit experience desirable.
    • Video content gathering experience desirable.
