Medical Research & Education

  • Staff Scholarship funding = $100,000 per annum.
  • Ongoing funding to support researchers in finding cures, promoting improvements in health care and implementing evidence-based practices, totalling $1.4 million since 2009.

Services and special programs

  • Clown Doctors to bring laughter to sick children at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital = $110,800 per annum. (Sorry, no third-party fundraising permitted)
  • Child Development Service (Gympie outreach) - to enable Gympie children with complex developmental delays to access improved services in Gympie = $15,812
  • Music Therapy for Dove Palliative Care (Caloundra) = $18,180 per annum.
  • Yoga Therapy for the Children's Ward = $13,000 per annum.
  • Music Therapy for Glenbrook Aged Care Facility = $3,328 per annum (2 hours per week).
  • Ongoing funding for Sckoping Camps and juvenile diabetes programs on the Coast.
  • Spiritual Care Service to provide holistic care across the SCHHS = $40,986
