92.7 Mix FM's Give Me 5 for Kids makes a real difference to the lives of the children of the Sunshine Coast and their families. The month-long appeal is held in June every year and has raised $5.5 million to date for the needs of local paediatric patients.

LOCAL CLOWN DOCTORSFunding to continue the local Clown Doctor service - delivering gags and giggles to sick children. A little humour goes a long way to treating children on the Sunshine Coast. The inspiring program treats young patients with a unique blend of 'laughter medicine' featuring jokes, silly dances and goofy songs. 100% of the local Clown Doctor service is funded by Wishlist. We are the only hospital foundation in Australia to indepedently fund local Clown Doctors, thanks to fundraising through the 92.7 Mix FM's Give Me 5 For Kids appeal and the local community. | Vital equipment for an Inter-hospital Paediatric Critical Care Transport Team—providing safe and timely transport to critically unwell children from outlying and regional hospitals to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for specialised care. Currently, transport of these children relies heavily on a team dispatched from Brisbane. Providing this equipment for a Sunshine Coast-based transport team will reduce the delay in critical care for children. TARGET: $130,000 |
Funding to continue the Children’s Yoga Therapy– applying the therapeutical tools of yoga to help sick children get to a state of calm so their body can focus on healing. Therapy sessions include breathing, relaxation techniques, yoga poses and affirmations. The sessions are especially helpful for patients with procedural anxiety, asthma, eating disorders and digestive issues. TARGET: $14,400 p/a |

Cow Pat Bingo: Thursday 27 June
In 1999, when 92.7 MIX FM’s Give Me Five for Kids was brand spanking new – we came up with a very novel way to make some cash! We marked out a block of land behind the radio station with 100 bingo squares, sold each square for $250 each – and brought in a cow to do it’s business. It was the biggest fundraiser of the inaugural GM5FK.
To celebrate 20 years of raising money for sick kids and their families, Mark and Caroline thought it was time to bring Cow-Pat Bingo back. We’ve discounted it (for quick sale!) but the rules remain the same.
