Sunshine Coast bosses have raised $1,250 for Wishlist thanks to the Big Boss Challenge 2011, an initiative of You First Personal Training, Sunshine Beach. Wishlist will direct the funds to the Children’s Ward at Nambour Hospital.

Participating bosses were given the chance to transform their own fitness while also making a difference in the lives of others through the 12 week challenge which saw them go head to head in a physical fitness and weight loss challenge with the help of a designated personal trainer and nutritionist.

Tyrone Saul of You First Personal Training said the true purpose of the Big Boss Challenge was to raise money for the Wishlist foundation as well as raising the charity’s profile among the business community.

“As a result of the Big Boss Challenge we are happy to report that all the participants are keen to make this an annual fundraising event,” Mr. Saul said. “Our winner this year was Chris Bowles, a chiropractor from In Touch Chiropractics, who improved the most and came up trumps in nearly all challenges.

“We were really happy with the outcome of this inaugural challenge and feel it has set the precedence for more businesses and local people to come together for causes such as this.”
