92.7 Mix FM's Give Me 5 for Kids is a month-long fundraising appeal in June each year, which to date has raised more than $2.2million for the needs of local paediatric patients.

Comprising of multiple events, socials, on-air auctions and a tin drive, the succesful campaign is spearheaded by Mix FM's dedicated team who rally the community each year to help create a world-class public health care for our youngest patients.

Breakfast hosts Mark and Caroline from 92.7 Mix FM arrive at the Nambour General Hospital after completing the 2011 Wheelie Bin Walk.

As the beneficiary of Mix FM's GM5 for Kids, Wishlist is able to direct all the funds raised towards the needs of our local children's wards, purchasing new equipment and equipment upgrades, service support projects and initiatives to make a child's hospital stay a little bit brighter.

Mix FM's Give Me 5 For Kids kicks off at Australia Zoo with Steve ancd Terri Irwin.

As in previous years, the campaign kicks off with a launch at Australia Zoo on the 1st of June, 2012.

Other exciting events forming part of the 2012 June appeal include the Noosa Ladies Lunch, Diamond Lunch, Hog Ride, Art Auction, Aitken Legal Corporate Golf Day,  Jessie's Party in the Park and a few new surprises this year. To stay up to date and to get involved in these fantastic activities, view our Calender of Events or follow us on Facebook for fresh updates.

Southern Cross Media’s GM5 For Kids is a community based appeal that raises money for Children’s Wards and Children’s services at local hospitals. The key to its success is that money raised locally is spent locally.

92.7 Mix FM's GM5 for Kids incoporates the famous "Hog Ride" where passengers buy tickets to ride with Harley riders.

The appeal in 2011 raised $253,036 and funded a mobile postnatal contact service to enable Child Health nurses to visit new mums in their homes, as well as a child-friendly rooftop play area outside the Children’s Ward at Nambour General Hospital. Currently in construction, the play area will be a fantastic space where hospitalised children, young people and their families can enjoy fresh air and relaxation during a traumatic time. The doors into the playground from the Children's Ward will be big enough to accommodate beds so bedridden children can enjoy it too.

92.7 Mix FM's GM5 for Kids has made, and is continuing to make, a real difference to the lives of the children of the Sunshine Coast and their families.
